Job Description: AI Research Leader (Senior Computer Vision Engineer)

In this elite leadership role, you will be the driving force behind the perception systems that power our robotic platforms. This isn’t just about applying existing models; it’s about pioneering new research in 3D/2.5D scene understanding, visual-spatial reasoning, and real-time object manipulation. You will lead a dedicated team of researchers and engineers to translate complex mathematical theories into robust, production-ready algorithms that allow our robots to navigate and interact with dynamic, real-world environments with human-like precision.

Your Technical & Research Mission

Advanced Perception & Algorithm Research

• Multidimensional Vision: Design and implement cutting-edge algorithms for 2D, 2.5D, and 3D imaging, focusing on depth estimation, point cloud processing, and spatial mapping.

• Robot System Optimization: Conduct deep R&D to enhance robotic performance, specifically improving how systems interpret tactile and visual feedback for complex tasks.

• Algorithm Deployment: Develop “embedded-first” machine learning models that maintain high accuracy while meeting the strict latency requirements of real-time robotic autonomy.

Research Leadership & Strategy

• Team Orchestration: Lead and mentor a team of machine learning and computer vision researchers, fostering a culture of rigorous scientific inquiry and rapid prototyping.

• Collaborative Innovation: Work across departments—Mechanical Engineering, Control Systems, and Software—to ensure vision modules are perfectly integrated with the robot’s physical actuators.

• Trend Analysis: Stay at the forefront of AI research (e.g., Vision Transformers, Gaussian Splatting, NeRFs), identifying and adopting technologies that provide a competitive edge in robotics.

What You Bring to Aravez Global

• Educational Pedigree: Ph.D. in Robotics, Computer Science, or a closely related field, with a focus on vision or perception.

• Deep Experience: 5+ years of post-Ph.D. experience specifically in the computer vision field.

• Spatial Expertise: Hands-on experience with 3D/2.5D data processing and sensor fusion (LiDAR, Stereo, RGB-D).

• Technical Mastery: Expert proficiency in Python and C++, along with deep learning frameworks such as PyTorch or TensorFlow.

• Leadership Grit: Proven ability to manage research cycles, lead teams, and communicate complex technical roadmaps to non-technical stakeholders.
