Job Description:
As a GIS Technician, you will play a vital role in managing geospatial data related to upstream oil and gas operations. This includes identifying and interpreting spatial data elements such as wells, mineral leases, surface ownership, and land grid components. You will work on complex problems involving a variety of datasets, applying sound judgment and technical skills to produce accurate geographic representations. The role also includes mentoring and training team members in your areas of expertise.

Key Responsibilities:

Identify and process geospatial data (points, lines, polygons) related to oil & gas assets.
Analyze datasets to support land, mineral, and operational activities.
Apply industry knowledge to ensure accurate data interpretation.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve technical issues.
Provide guidance and training to colleagues when needed.

Proven experience in geospatial data related to oil and gas industry.
Strong understanding of GIS concepts, mapping software, and industry data types.
