Job Title: Assistant Relationship Manager – SME (Southern Region)
Location: Southern Region, Sri Lanka
Job Description:
We are looking for an experienced and dynamic Assistant Relationship Manager to support and grow a high-quality SME client portfolio in the Southern Region. The ideal candidate will be responsible for acquiring new clients, managing existing relationships, conducting financial evaluations, and cross-selling relevant banking and financial products. This role requires a strong understanding of SME business operations, financial analysis, and customer relationship management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and grow a portfolio of SME clients while achieving assigned business targets
- Acquire and onboard new SME clients
- Analyze clients’ businesses and financials to prepare credit appraisals in collaboration with Credit and Risk teams
- Coordinate internal processes for disbursements and ensure proper post-disbursement documentation
- Promote and cross-sell retail, liability, and payment solutions to SME clients
- Monitor client performance and account activity to ensure compliance with internal and regulatory standards
- Conduct market research to stay updated on industry trends and competitors
Candidate Requirements:
- Minimum 8 years of experience in Relationship Management, with at least 5 years in a similar role in the banking or financial industry
- Strong knowledge of financial statements and financial ratios
- Expertise in banking and financial products, especially SME-related solutions
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- High level of computer literacy
- Diploma in Banking, Credit Management, or a related professional qualification preferred
