Job Description: Assistant Manager – Finance (Thulihiriya)
Location: Thulihiriya, Sri Lanka

We are seeking an Assistant Manager – Finance to supervise and review Management Accounting, Financial Accounting, and Purchasing functions, ensuring smooth operations and compliance. This role also manages all tax-related activities including income tax and transfer pricing.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the timely and accurate finalization of monthly and year-end financials, ensuring adherence to standards.
- Coordinate with external auditors and lead the year-end audit process.
- Maintain the quality and accuracy of financial reports by guiding the team on ledger reviews.
- Review and clear long outstanding balance sheet accounts while ensuring compliance with group policies.
- Manage all tax activities including income tax, transfer pricing, SVAT, and VAT.
- Finalize annual income tax returns and transfer pricing filings with consultants.
- Monitor accounts payable and receivable to ensure efficient collections and settlements.
- Review service levels of outsourced sub-functions to ensure smooth operations.
- Ensure compliance with statutory requirements including BOI, IRD, and Central Bank regulations.
- Provide financial analysis to stakeholders related to product and customer profitability, costing, and budgeting.
- Lead budget preparation, budgetary controls, variance analysis, and cost center reviews.
- Implement financial controls and ERP system controls.
- Provide reliable management information for decision making.
- Lead initiatives to drive SG&A expense savings, including idea generation and savings verification.
Knowledge and Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
- Fully qualified ICASL, ACCA, or CIMA professional.
- 4-6 years of experience in finance or accounting roles.
- At least 2 years in a supervisory or assistant manager role.
- Experience in multinational or large-scale organizations preferred.
- Proven experience in monthly closures, audit coordination, and financial analysis.
