Job Description: IT Internship Opportunity (6–12 Months)

Location: Central, Sri Lanka

Monthly Stipend: LKR 50,000

Working Days: Monday to Friday

About the Internship:

This internship is designed for students or recent graduates in computer science or related fields to gain practical experience in a real-world tech environment. Interns will support non-business critical functions, enhance technical skills, and contribute to operational improvements within a production and non-production setting.

Key Responsibilities:

Support mission-critical applications in both production and non-production environments
Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues across infrastructure, applications, and databases
Understand operational aspects of Carlson Marketing Solutions software platforms
Monitor application dashboards, analyse alerts, and propose solutions
Automate routine tasks using scripts and support tool development
Collaborate with internal tech teams to prepare for new platform integrations
Assist with operational readiness and incident response
May participate in a 24×7 roster if required

Required Qualifications & Skills:

Currently pursuing or completed a BSc in Computer Science or related discipline
Fast learner with adaptability and strong problem-solving skills
Effective time management and communication abilities
Experience with Windows and Linux environments
Basic understanding of cloud computing
Familiarity with general IT systems and tools
Strong written and verbal English communication

Preferred (Not Mandatory):

Basic networking and system administration knowledge
Exposure to n-tier applications and PL/SQL
Familiarity with Relational and NoSQL databases
Basic knowledge of Amazon AWS
