Job Description: Assistant Manager – Finance (Thulihiriya)

MAS Matrix, a leading flat-knit apparel manufacturer under MAS Holdings, is seeking an Assistant Manager – Finance to supervise and review Management Accounting, Financial Accounting, and Purchasing functions. This role ensures efficient operations, compliance with accounting policies, and oversees all tax-related activities including income tax and transfer pricing.

Key Responsibilities:

Supervise and review monthly and year-end financial finalizations.
Coordinate with auditors and lead the year-end audit process.
Ensure quality and accuracy of financial reports and General Ledger clarity.
Manage reconciliation and clearance of long outstanding balance sheet accounts.
Oversee tax functions: Income tax, Transfer pricing, SVAT, and VAT.
Finalize tax returns and coordinate with tax consultants.
Monitor Accounts Payable and Receivable for efficient collections and settlements.
Review outsourced sub-functions and ensure service levels.
Ensure compliance with statutory requirements (BOI, IRD, Central Bank).
Provide financial analysis on product and customer profitability.
Oversee budget preparation, controls, variance analysis, and cost center reviews.
Implement financial controls, including ERP system procedures.
Provide reliable management information for decision-making.
Lead SG&A savings initiatives, monitor progress, and verify savings.

Knowledge and Skills:

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
Fully qualified with ICASL, ACCA, or CIMA.
4–6 years of finance/accounting experience.
Minimum 2 years in supervisory or assistant manager role.
Experience in multinational or large-scale organizations preferred.
Proven expertise in monthly closures, audit coordination, and financial analysis.
